She is a woman, ain't she?

My weekend started on Friday at 3:30 taking Berlie and Catelyn to the vet. Berlie had her annual checkups but Cate had something terribly wrong with her eye. I told the vet that I thought she had eye cancer and was going blind. This is why I am not the cat Dr. because as it turns out she doesn't have cancer at all, she has an ulcer on her eye. She was given some medicine and told that in a few weeks it should clear up with no lasting eye problems. I was very happy to hear this, especially seeing as to how I thought she was dying! I guess I will learn to take care of feeding the elderly and let the veterinarian take care of diagnosing the animals.

This is really not a good picture at all, but I wanted to let everyone know the good news that Jack received on Friday afternoon. This is his second academic excellence pin! He is doing really well with his school and is really enjoying it! He is scheduled to take his class final on May 27 and start his externship the following Monday. He has to do 2 months of externship then his graduation date is set for July 27. I am so proud of him and he is so excited about what the future holds!

On Saturday evening several of us went out to eat. Little did we know, while we were sitting inside J&G there was a storm brewing outside. Just as we got our food the power went out. So we sat in the dark and ate supper. Colton liked that. Not only were we in the dark, but the hood vents to the stove were electric so the whole place filled with smoke pretty quickly, they had to open the doors. It was quite the experience. Isn't it great how memories are made?

So Saturday afternoon after supper we all got back in the car and a friend of ours was asking of his wife, "Why can't she entertain herself on occasion? Why do I always have to entertain her?" Then a little voice from the back seat says, "She is a woman ain't she? That's what women do!" And that was all Colton had to say about that subject. It really does amaze me sometimes how smart he is about life subjects.

Weekend with Cole

Friday Jack had taken me to lunch and while we were out Cole called. In that cute little voice of his he says, "Daddy! Can I spend the night tonight?" We had only planned on keeping him Saturday this week, so we were happy when he called. Of course we said YES! Unfortunately Jack had to go to school on Friday night so Cole stayed at home with me.

He got a new video game and of course wanted to play that all night. Now anyone that knows Jack can look at this picture and know Cole looks JUST LIKE HIM! Take note of the headset- JUST LIKE JACK! :D

On Saturday Jack, Cole, Mom and I went to McDonalds with Jenny and the girls and Aunt Joyce's clan, along with Tammy and her girls. We use to hang out with Tammy in Pulaski. Saturday was the first time I have seen her in about 5 years! We had a good time. Anyway, Cole was being a monkey and climbing on the slide as opposed to going down the slide!

Once we got home it was back to playing with his cars. This is probably his second favorite activity, second to playing video games.

Usually in the afternoons Mom and Cole sit down to roast marshmallow's over the fire place! Mom just adores Cole and will do any and everything with him. And Colton LOVES to do this. He will never let her forget and heaven forbid we ever run out of marshmallow's. Mom and Dad are sure to keep a stock of them. Marshmallow's and Banana Popsicles - He loves both! Cole did tell Dad though that the next time he went to the store he needed to buy the pink marshmallow's (because they taste like strawberry!)

By the end of Sunday afternoon Jack and I were tired. Colton was still going full speed but he decided to play "dog pile!" It was a good weekend though. We cant wait till he can come back next weekend.

Cruise

There have been a few people now to ask me about my cruise countdown.
Well I am a very lucky girl. My mom is taking my sister and I on a cruise the last week in May. We will be visiting Grand Caymens and Cozumel. Of course this will be my second trip to Cozumel but mom nor Ashlie have ever been to either places. In fact, this will be Ashlie's first cruise. We are very excited! We are definitely blessed to be able to take a girls trip like this.
I am very nervous about leaving Jackie for a whole week though! Mom says I am a wimp, its probably true but I still don't like it. There have been a total of only like 4 days that I have not seen him in almost 3 years now. We have been just about inseparable since day one. Anyway, he don't mind. I asked him plenty of times before I made the commitment. He says that us girls may not have the chance to ever do this together again that I should go. He is probably right so WE WILL HAVE FUN!

Sleep In Peace

Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.

Our Start

Our start as "The Watts" began on September 20,2008. It was a long time in the making, but meant to be all along.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect! If we had it to do over again, we would not change a thing! Colton helped us to light the unity candle. He told us that he like to "play with the fire." That is just like him!

From the ceramony we moved on to the reception. It was held at the Conference Center. We had the BEST DJ ever, good food, a "candy bar" and lots of dancing! In this picture we were doing the chicken dance!

At the end of the night we were exhausted! But that didnt stop us, the party carried on with lots of friends and family at Brad and Jenny's.

From the wedding we had a day of rest then hit the road for our honeymoon. We drove to Mobile AL. where the ship left from and headed to MEXICO! This is a picture from one of the islands we went to.
Our first stop was Cozumel. We did not do much there in Cozumel but we did go to Margaritaville. When we went in and opened the menu I was ready to go when it said, $125.00 for a hamburger! Jack calmed me down just long enough to ask someone about it. Come to find out the prices were listed in Mexican money (I cant spell it- Peso's?). Anyway we ended up ordering nacho's to share and they were really good.

Our second and last stop was the port of Calica- the town of Playa Del Carmen. There we took a four wheeler ride through the jungle. It was a lot of fun, A LOT OF FUN! But everyone had to drive their own fourwheeler, they would not let me ride with Jack. I had never drove one before. It was ok until we went through some really, really rough grounds and the four wheeler threw me off! I cut my leg pretty bad and will probably always have a scar. It was worth it though because it was so much fun. And the secluded beach we drove to was GORGEOUS! Anyway this is a picture of the tour guide fixing my leg after I cut it.

Our time in Mexico was by far the best trip of my life! And I have so many memorable ones. But it was actually the only vacation that I have ever had when I cried when I had to go. Then again I had never been on such an amazing journey with the one I love.

Life is good. I usually have a thought for the day. My thought for today, "Cherish every moment like it is your last."
