Family Fun

Jack and I got to go to our first Titans game this season! After the game I got my picture taken with KVB!! I was so excited! He is SO HANDSOME!

Ashlie and I went Christmas shopping the weekend after Thanksgiving. Mom was supposed to go with us, but she had just had her surgery and could not get out yet. So, Ashlie, Cole and I went shopping again with mom this past weekend. We all had a really good time and Cole that it was hilarious to pose with all the fixtures. He does not just let you take his picture often so while he was willing we were eager.

We were at The Avenue in Murfreesboro. Colton was riding on the back of this little boy's bike.

He said he wanted a picture by "Rudolph"

He was pretending to be a manikin in the women's dress shop. He told us to go outside and take his picture.

He was loving on me! I take it while I can get it!

We just thought this was a cute background.

We had a good weekend! Hopefully I will be able to start blogging more than I have in the past couple of months. We shall see!

It has been several weeks since I have blogged! Actually I got more involved in facebook and kind of left my blog behind, but I'm gonna try to do a better job of keeping up with both. There has been so much to go on! Including Cole's birthday and Jack got a job and started today!
Just ended another week with Cole. I was sad to see him go. Hopefully it wont be long and he wont have to go every week...
There is a lot to be seen this coming week. Jack and I have 2 very important appointments. And I am so thankful that I have so many wonderful people out there that are keeping us uplifted in their prayers.
I have had somewhat of a difficult past couple of weeks. Especially at this point in my life; the quote for today is also a lesson I need to learn.
And that lesson: My job is to take care of the possible and leave God to the impossible.

...and her heart grew 3 sizes that day!

This morning when I took Cole to school he jumped out of the car and waved at me all the way to the steps. He turned climbed the steps and when he reached the top he turned back around and blew me a kiss!!! Boy did that make my heart swell! What a good boy!
This past week was also his birthday, I will post more at some point this weekend!

A busy life

Life has been so BUSY!
Jack did graduate, it was a good night surrounded with about 14 friends and family members. Graduation was good, then several of us went to eat Mexican. Of course, Jack and Robbie were fooling around and they spilled a whole glass of tea right in my lap! After supper Jack, Robbie, myself, and a friend of mine stayed in Nashville for a few hours. It was an ok night but I was very thankful to get home and in bed! Anyway... here are a few pictures of graduation.

Here is Jack and Cole and Jack's brothers, TJ and Robbie. Robbie got to take about a week leave, he is in the army and based in Colorado Springs Colorado. It was good to see him. His brother TJ left 2 days later on a Sunday for the army himself. Jack is very proud of his brothers.

3 Generations of the Watts men. Jack Jr., Jack III, and Cole.

And of course Jack and his wife e!

Here are the two of us with my parents.

And finally a picture of Jack receiving his diploma. We all were so proud of him!

Jack's mom and Doyle and Grandmam and Grandpa Hill also come for the occasion. I thought I got pictures of all of them too, but I guess not. I am going to have to get them to send me some of those pictures.
Well Jack finished his extern on Monday and was on the job hunt on Tuesday. He thinks he might have found a temporary position for 6 weeks in Tullahoma. And he had an interview with a local Dr.'s office on Thursday that we think went very well. We are hoping to hear back from that this week.
Colton also had his first day of school this past week. Jack took him to register on Wednesday. Friday when we tried to get him up and ready for school he threw a FIT, told us he hated school and did not ever want to go. When Jack picked him up Friday after school, they both come to work to pick me up. When Cole saw me he rolled down the window and said, "HEY I LIKE SCHOOL NOW!" And he told us just today that he was excited about going back tomorrow, hopefully he will keep liking it this year.
Colton is such a good boy. He is so well behaved and respectfull. I could really go into a spill right now and will not, but I truly believe God has a special hand on Cole right now.
Leads me to my quote for the day, also the Bible verse I got in Sunday School this morning. Comes from Jeremiah 29:11
FOR I KNOW THE THOUGHTS AND PLANS THAT I HAVE FOR YOU, SAYS THE LORD, THOUGHTS AND PLANS FOR WELFARE AND PEACE AND NOT FOR EVIL, TO GIVE YOU HOPE IN YOUR FINAL OUTCOME.
Anyway, all is good in the Watts world. It is very exciting to see what the next couple of months will hold for us!

How to make fresh squeezed orange juice

Cole and I were sitting on the front porch the other day eating Cantaloupe, this story comes from that.
How to make fresh squeezed orange juice according to Cole:
You take 1 cantaloupe, a screw driver and a glass.
You go to the place where you are building houses and get the screw driver.
Take the screw driver and poke holes in the cantaloupe.
Wash the cantaloupe off because the screw driver was dirty from building houses.
Squeeze the juice into the glass.
"And that's how you make orange juice!"
According to Cole.

Enjoy the little things

We were lucky enough to have Colton this whole week! It has been such a good week! We are so blessed to have him a part of our lives.
Mom and Dad bought this pool and we all have had a blast with the pool this whole week! Some how Jack has been the last one in it all week! But here is a picture of Jack and Cole playing, Cole was trying to drown Jack and I think he did a pretty good job at it. :D

Amanda is finally a cosmetologist! CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA! So we took Cole to see her and she cut his hair! She did a really good job. She said she was scared because Cole was Jack's kid, she did not want to mess his hair up! LOL! She knows how Jack is about his hair, but what I don't think she did know is that Cole is just as bad!
A couple of things that Cole said that I thought was funny:
Dad was eating supper the other night and Cole walked by his chair, stopped and looked at dad's head and said, "you know your bald head looks like a bowling ball with eyes and a nose!" Oh how honest that child is!
And...
Because he has stayed with us all week, my cousin Kate has babysat him this week while we were at work. Kate fixed him some lunch earlier in the week and Cole said, "Wow! A woman like you really knows how to cook for a guy like spiderman!" What a character!

Well Jack gets to graduate this coming Friday. He still has 2 weeks of extern left before he can apply for his license, but it is all coming to an end! I am so proud of him! He gets to walk the line with a college education. He has worked so hard over the past 10 months, it is good to see your hard work pay off! Here is a picture of his tassel, he come home with a cap and gown yesterday.
Since everything is coming to an end, its time for him to find a job. So everyone keep that in your prayers.
For the past week and a half my assistant at work, Penny, has been on vacation. And I have been very busy and put in A LOT of hours! It was good for me, but I am exhausted and it has made me even more thankful for Penny. With the bit of stress that I have had over the past few weeks it was refreshing to have Cole around here to lighten the mood some this week. From that gives me my quote for the day.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

There is a lot of truth to this

Weekend in Atlanta

The last weekend in June, 11 of us went to Atlanta for the Redsox, Braves game. We left out Saturday m0rning, but by the time we got there everything we wanted to do was either closed or closing by the time we could get there. So, Saturday once we got there Jack, Cole and I, my parents, and my cousin Kate went to eat. Ashlie and Trent met up with us shortly after and picked up mom, dad and Kate. Jack, Cole and I went to watch Transformers 2.
So we woke early Sunday morning and Jack, Cole, Kate and I went to the Atlanta aquarium. It is supposed to be the largest in the world and the best in the U.S. But Jack and I agreed that it is MUCH better than the Chattanooga aquarium but the aquarium in Gatlinburg is still the best. Anyway we had a really good time and the boy really enjoyed himself.

When we first went in the boy was amazed with all of the fish. Cole really liked the jelly fish and I like the picture.

Cole thought it was the coolest thing that the man was "scuba diving" with the sharks.

He was looking at a shark, he loved those!

He liked the spider crab too.

Some kind of whale, I don't remember. But I liked the way Cole was looking at it.

Another good one.

Jack and Cole were sitting on the rocks by the water fall.

Cole did not want his picture taken all day and he was so mad at us for making him take his picture here with us.

Cole loved crawling back in the cove and seeing everyone from outside. He was sticking his tongue out at his dad.
We left the aquarium and after we got a little lost we finally found the stadium and made it to the game.
Cole at the game.

Ashlie and Trent just love Cole, I think he likes them pretty good too.

Sunday was kids day, so after the game Cole got to run the bases. Here is Jack and Cole right on the Braves field.
Cole was waiting in line to run the bases and he waved at us.

And here he is running the bases. Apparently he told his granny Teressa from the begining that he was going to run the bases and fortunately it was kids day and he got to. Boy did he get lucky.

Here is a picture after the game with everyone that got to go except for Trent's parents and his sister, they got away before Cole was done running the bases. But it was all a good time.

The Braves was just one out away from winning the game and suddenly a fan came running onto the field. It was really funny he got tackled by about 10 security people. Any way here is a link to the video on you tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41-4CVyI3tE It was a good weekend.

Independance Day

We had a great 4th of July weekend! It started Friday afternoon when we went out on my uncle's boat. There were several of the family that went and it was so good to see Uncle Ernie too!
Here is a picture of Cole just as he got on the boat, he was excited to go.

When we first got on the boat Cole seen this inter tube and he said, "I AM NOT GETTING ON THAT" and he almost started to cry because he thought we were going to make him. He finally decided to take a ride with his dad and ended up having a LOT of fun!

There were so many of the family that wanted to go out on the lake and Uncle's boat was not big enough. So he had to take 6 of us at a time to a little area and we all had to wait our turn there to go out on the boat. Anyway while we waited, Cole, Jack and Trent played some ball. Of course Cole won, "86 to 2." :D

Didn't get a picture of me and Jack on the inter tube because we were on it all of 20 seconds before Jack tipped us over. I told them from the beginning that if I tipped I would not be able to get back on the boat. Well it was a sight watching them try to pull me out of the water back onto that boat. I spared everyone of posting those pictures. But I finally got back in the inter tube and I went for a ride. It was fun!

Just a picture of Cole in the lake that I adored. It's kind of "abstracty." I am going to get together all of the good "abstracty" pictures I have of him like this. I LOVE THEM!

Another one of the "abstracty" ones I love.

Once Cole got the inter tube hooked to land he played survivor.

Then he had a lot of fun jumping off of the branches into the lake.

Cole was holding a HUGE stick in the air.

OK, another picture that I just love. I HAVE TO SHARE THESE PICTURES!

On the way back home Uncle let Cole drive the boat. Of course Uncle had to sit there with Cole but at one point Cole was actually doing it all by himself. Cole was steering and Uncle taught him to press the button hard for the gas and how to let off. He ended up racing another boat, COLE LOVED IT!

On Saturday we went to a cookout at my Aunt Phyllis' it was good. We left there and went camping. We got a late start and it was the weekend of the 4th so we had a really hard time finding a spot. Well we finally found somewhere to put down our tent. I didn't get any pictures but after about 2 hours of work we finally got the camp site set up with a fire and all of our chairs and the tent, we were ready to go. Well the police showed up, about 5 to be exact, the people above us were getting in trouble. The police come to see what we were up to, which was a bunch of nothing. Just making smores and fishing. Then they spotted our tent and made us take it down. They said there was a sign posted and we could hang out but we were not allowed to stay the night where we were. So we packed up and went home. 3 hours of camping, then we went home. We were sad.

Sunday was busy! We cleaned up the garage and turned the spare room into Cole's bedroom. If anyone knows the shape the garage was in (after 2 family's house fulls of stuff), the garage was a disaster! But it is finally somewhat organized.

It was a good weekend.

Life as we know it

Just wanted to share this beautiful picture of my cousins with everyone.

2 weekends ago my friend Bridgette had an extra ticket to the CMA festival and she took me. It was a lot of fun! I got to see Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Rodney Atkins, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Zac Brown Band and the special guest was KID ROCK!!!! And Martina McBride.
Mom's boss Kelly took her. We had separate seats from them but after the concert we all met up and went to downtown Nashville and had so much fun! Mom and I did not get home til 4:30 AM. :D
This past weekend Jack and I went to the Jeff Fisher annual softball charity game. The tickets were only$15 each, we were very excited to go. As we were getting to the gate of the Sounds stadium there was a man saying, "Free tickets, free tickets" so Jack and I stopped and as it turned out he was with one of the sponsors and they did not use all of their tickets so they were giving them away. We got in free!
They were having a silent auction and Jack bid on a softball signed by David Thorton. He won it for $15 bucks! We were so excited! We went, had a good time, got to see the Titans play softball, a awesome fireworks display afterwards, won a softball and still got out cheaper than expected! It was so much fun! We intend on going again next year.
Anyway this is a picture of Gnash (the predators cat), Kerry Collins and Steve McNair.

Jack is still doing his extern at United Regional and is loving it! I am so happy for him because he really does like the work and he really seems to fit in with the people there. At first he wanted to work in Murfreesboro but now he really hopes that they offer him a job there at the hospital. I am so thankful it is going so well for him!

On a final note, Jack and I have jumped into a new endeavor. Can't really go into detail right now but we really need everyones prayers. Please, please remember us when your talking to God.

I will keep everyone posted!

God knows your heart

As most of you know, I usually find a quote for the day. These quotes come from various different places. I wanted to share my quote from yesterday.
Sometimes people inspire me and don't even know it. The administrator at my work was talking with all of the department heads yesterday and she was totally talking about something kind of off the subject then she says: "The good will always win, God knows your heart." It struck me hard. It speaks volumes to me because of some different issues going on in life. I like this one.
THE GOOD WILL ALWAYS WIN, GOD KNOWS YOUR HEART!

Jack

Jackie's football practice for the season has started. Actual season don't start until August. Football gets him out of the house, away from me and active. He loves it! During scrimmage the other day he made 2 touchdowns and once intercepted the ball and ran it back for a touch down! It's so fun! I cant wait til season starts and I get to go watch him show out!

A BIG thanks to everyone who has sent up prayers for Jack. Tuesday he passed his final and as of today he has a extern at the old hospital here in town, he will start in the morning! God has really blessed us! There is so much going on right now and it was very important that things fell right into place, and thus far they have! All that is left with school is 8-9 weeks of extern then he has to take a state test to certify him. After that all he does is send in the paper work and apply. I am so very proud of him!
With all that is going on in our life, including wanting to buy a house before too awfully long, please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Colton

Cole is spending this week with his granny Pat. She called today and told us a little story about him. Apparently she had asked her husband, Doyle to put some water in the car for her. Well a bit later Mr. Doyle did it and Colton had come in and asked his granny Pat, "Did you tell Papa Doyle to put water in the car?" When granny said yes, he replied, "well, you have to tell boys 5 times cause they don't listen." When granny Pat asked how many times you have to tell girls, he replied, "just one."

Colton told dad the other day, "put your hands up, I'm the FBI!" Dad asked, "what's the FBI?" Colton said, "Its the cop's!" Dad replied, "Cop's is C-O-P, FBI is F-B-I." Colton then told him, "that means cussing and you must be drunk! Put your hands up your under arrest!"

We took Cole bowling a couple of weekends ago. He was really funny he was having a very good time bowling at first then he started playing with the strobe lights. First he was jumping them as they come around. Then he would hide behind the ball rack and when the lights come around he would jump out and shoot at them. He is so funny!

We went to eat Sunday lunch at the cracker barre ll and when we were about finished he took my aunts bill and told her that he would take care of it. She asked him if he had any money and when he told her no everyone started explaining to him about having to wash dishes if he did not have the money to pay for his bill. Well at this point the waitress chimed in and said, "yea, we are really behind back there and could use some help washing dishes." He then looked up at the waitress like she was crazy and replied, " well, I will come back there and help but I will just break a glass so they will fire me and I wont have to do it any more!"

Then so that he would finish eating his hamburger Ashlie promised him that if he would finish she would stop at the store and get him a prize. So he finished and on the way home she stopped and went into Food Lion and she brought him out some marsh mellows. Well he took one look at them and said, "ugh! I thought you were going to buy me a toy!" I said, "Cole! You should tell Ashlie thank you." He said, "thank you" and with the most pitiful tone you ever heard he said, "dang it." It was hilarious! I just like this picture of Jack and Cole.
Cole had his first school play! He done such a good job and said his line loud and proud! "In the 1800's the Americans had a terrible problem." He done a very good job!

Here is another picture of him at the bowling alley. He was so excited when he knocked down 8 pins!
